Director, Clinician Experience

The Director of the Clinician Experience Office has one of the most innovative and exciting jobs in VA informatics. Working on fusion teams with the Office of Information Technology, the Clinician Experience office is responsible for the technical approach to development of an ecosystem of technologies that, in concert with the EHR, support clinical reasoning and workflows for all members of the patient-care team. The technical scope also includes middleware that works with other platforms including the patient experience, the EHR, data & analytics, and external interoperability. The Clinician Experience Office also partners with clinical program offices and other informatics offices that have strong expertise in human system integration and configuration of EHR systems. The Office is composed of engineers, product managers, and product-focused informaticians. Physician and nurse informaticians with at least 5 years’ experience in IT product development and informatics leadership are welcome to apply. Specific experience in segment, solution, or user-experience architecture is preferred. This position is for senior or mid-level informaticians. Experience in mainly EHR configuration or configuration governance will not be considered qualifying for this position.
