ADOLESCENT MEDICINE SPECIALIST
Opening in Antioch, California
Position Highlights:
Direct an adolescent medicine program in a busy Bay Area pediatric center
Eating disorder care: oWorking in collaboration with the regional lead of Adolescent Medicine, expand and strengthen the pediatric/adolescent eating disorder program oMedical director of outpatient eating disorder program in the Diablo Service Area oOversee multidisciplinary inpatient eating disorder care in the Diablo Service Area oProvide consultation and teaching to pediatric providers in the outpatient and inpatient settings
Consultation:
Provide consultation to general pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and family medicine physicians to help in the management of adolescents. These consults are including, but not limited to:
High-risk teens: high-risk sexual behavior, drug use, gang/juvenile justice, mental health with poor adherence, chronic medical conditions with poor adherence
Complex medical conditions: provide consultation and support for adolescents suffering with conditions that have combined medical/psychosocial etiologies (ex: chronic fatigue, autonomic disorders, somatization)
Transgender/gender-expansive youth
Contraceptive care
Menstrual concerns
Substance use and treatment
Sexually transmitted infections/prevention, provision of PrEP
Transition members from pediatrics to adult medicine
Leadership and education: oProvide leadership for and education in adolescent health locally and throughout Northern California
Requirements:
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and
Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Adolescent Medicine

Full-time annual salary range is $280,020 to $290,040 plus additional incentives up to $33,320. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
