DeQuorum Arts Job Postings

1) Professional Chorus Member-

Beati Quorum is a new hybrid chamber choir consisting of paid professionals who excel at their craft and auditioned volunteer singers who have a varied amount of choral experience. Four openings for professional singers are currently open. Paid singers will be expected to learn music on their own, be prepared to sing as a soloist if repertoire calls for a soloist, attend a minimum of 2 rehearsals in addition to the dress rehearsal and be punctual and committed to the hours and dates of rehearsals and concerts. Hired singers will be able to earn additional pay by scheduling coaching or sectionals with the volunteer singers. Gas compensation is available if singers are traveling from within the Bay Area. Rehearsals alternate Tuesday, Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Next concert date falls the weekend of April 10-12. 

Fees for the upcoming April Concert: $125 per 3 hour rehearsal block (dress rehearsal will be a 4 hour rehearsal block with a 20 min break.) 2 rehearsals and  an additional dress rehearsal are expected. Additional rehearsal fees are subject to the director’s discretion. 

$150 for performance. $100 per additional 90-120min sectional led (maximum 2 per season). Paid positions additionally may offer their services as private vocal coaches to the ensemble singers and set their own hourly rates.

2) Assistant Conductor or “Apprentice”

An assistant to the conductor is needed for multiple tasks and with multiple choruses. Please inquire if you are seeking this experience. Fee is based on experience and podium time will be considered as part of the agreement.
