The Director of Client Accounting acts as a liaison with the Associa Client Shared Service Center and oversees a team of Client Accounting Specialists at the branch location. The Director will be the client facing accounting liaison to support the Community Manager.

 Principal Roles and Responsibilities to include:

  • Main point of contact for G/L team and branch leadership.
  • Oversee Client Accounting Specialist Team
  • Identify, research, resolve, and communicate accounting, auditing and operations issues.
  • Oversee routine daily operations of the branch Client Accounting team
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Maintain collection company relationships
  • Provide technical and financial advice and knowledge to others to include the Community Managers and board members
  • Direct knowledge and support of developer billing and financials
  • Oversight of branch collections
  • Oversight and resolution for client financial discrepancies
  • Responsible for evaluating performance of Client Accounting Specialists
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five years pervious general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience required, preferably in the community management industry
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) guidelines
  • Able to interpret and apply industry related law
  • Strong problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines and goals
  • Ability to professionally communicate both internally and externally with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills – listening, written, and verbal
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Complete Control for Communities (C3) software
  • Understanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry
  • Experience working with a Shared Service Center team
