- Water Maintenance Supervisor
Description
To plan, organize, direct, and supervise the activities of assigned personnel, equipment, and operations within the Public Works Department's Utility Division.
Requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work may involve considerable physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, rolling, transporting of light to heavy tools and objects (up to 50 pounds); prolonged periods of standing, sitting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, crawling, crouching, twisting, kneeling, bending, grasping and making repetitive hand movement, walking on level and slippery surfaces, and climbing. Work will also require manual dexterity, clear speech, visual and hearing acuity.
Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years of broad and increasingly responsible journey level experience including at least 2 years of experience equivalent to a Water Distribution Worker III (i.e. maintenance of municipal water distribution system and/or sewer collection system) or equivalent experience are required.
High school graduation or equivalent is required.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
Possession of a valid Class C California State Driver's License is required; a commercial driver's license is highly desirable and may be required.
Possession of a California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Collection Systems Technician Grade II license is required.
Possession of a State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Water Distribution Operator Grade II license is required.
California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Collection Systems Technician Grade III license, or ability to obtain within six months, is required.
State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Water Distribution Operator Grade III license, or ability to obtain within six months, is required.
Depending on assignment, American Water Works Association (AWWA) Cross Connection Control Specialist certification may be required
