- The Sea Ranch Design Committee Landscape Architect
Description
Consider contributing as a thought leader to help The Sea Ranch Association adapt its design review process to embrace resilience to climate change while honoring Lawrence Halprin’s principles for harmonious coexistence between humans and the natural world. The Sea Ranch Board of Directors is accepting applications for an experienced, licensed landscape architect in the state of California to be considered for appointment to The Sea Ranch Design Committee. The Design Committee is comprised of architects and landscape architects who serve as consultants to The Sea Ranch Association to oversee and ensure that development for the HOA is aligned with founding principles and standards, while meeting new and evolving regulations.
Requirements
- Registration as a licensed landscape architect in the state of California
- Ten years + professional experience
- An enthusiastic embrace of the challenges and opportunities inherent in adapting development for resilience to wildfire through regulations governing defensible space and home hardening within a framework of legacy design principles
- A team mindset with excellent collaboration and communication skills
- A portfolio of past project work that demonstrates relevant experience for this role
- The role requires an average of 12 meetings per year (hybrid on-site and remote) for a three year term.
