Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Construction Manager who will be responsible for managing and ensuring site safety. This role will also have a comprehensive knowledge in the day-to-day execution for their assigned project(s) including managing, coordinating, and supervising general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and personnel to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, while adhering to the quality standards and client satisfaction. The Senior Construction Manager will oversee and be responsible for the ongoing analysis of the project contingencies; overall project schedule, and ensures milestones are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that the project team understands the aspects of the contract that relate to their specific responsibilities and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the contract checklist.
Identifies the high-risk provisions in the contract and implements project specific practices to mitigate risk.
Manages all document control of RFI submittals, change orders, correspondence, permits, drawings, specs, and reports in a systematic and traceable manner.
Prepares and manages monthly billing processes.
Reviews the timely approval of all change orders and billings, and cost control budget adjustments.
Responsible for all aspects of the cost report and completes timely submittal of cost reports and effectively communicates risk and projections to senior management.
Manages and publishes project schedule on a weekly basis.
Participates in the development and creation of the baseline schedule and provides weekly updates to the schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Attendance at work during normal business hours.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Comprehensive knowledge of contract documents, including reading and writing subcontracts.
Prior experience being the direct liaisons between the field crews/activities, GC, subcontractors, engineers, management, and Owner/Client.
Possess extensive knowledge of all construction activities.
Ability to supervise and delegate responsibilities to crew members, deal with all aspects of the job. Demonstrated responsibility for delivering significant projects.
Familiarity with public construction processes.
Must possess good administrative, communication, organizational writing and computer skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in major structures and Modernization Projects, particularly related to Public School Construction.

The salary range for this full-time role is $136,000.00-$181,333.36 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.In addition to base salary, Cumming Group offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
