Portfolio Manager/Investment Counselor
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled, long-term oriented investment professional to join our fee-only San Francisco-based boutique independent RIA. This is a full-time, in-office position. The ideal candidate must demonstrate high integrity, ability to think independently, and possess the ambition and entrepreneurial spirit to seek increased responsibilities within our organization.
Portfolio Manager Responsibilities
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be a member of our investment policy committee and will be responsible for assisting in the selection of approved securities used to construct and manage client investment portfolios.
You will conduct fixed income and equity research, make recommendations to our committee regarding the purchase and sale of publicly traded securities, and be engaged in both model and individual portfolio construction.
You will share in the ongoing monitoring of securities held in client portfolios to ensure that these investments remain aligned with portfolio objectives, as well as overall firm investment strategy.
You will trade client portfolios and collaborate with other firm portfolio managers during this process.
Investment Counselor Responsibilities
As an Investment Counselor, you will interact directly with the firm’s clients. You will support our clients and have an excellent command of client goals, circumstances and objectives. During your interactions with firm clients, you will provide extensive financial advice pertaining to many aspects of their financial lives.
As a trusted advisor, you will use your training and prior experience to provide high-quality, top-tier personalized guidance and advice.
Requirements
Innovative and self-starting
5+ years of relevant experience in an RIA
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective team player
Extensive experience in securities analysis
Expertise in providing investment advice and solutions to HNWI
Undergraduate degree + CFA, CFP or other advanced degree required
Series 65, IAR or comparable preferred
