As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on Service Manager to help lead daily shop operations and support technicians and service teams on the floor and on the road. Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead daily shop floor operations and support technicians, service dispatch coordination, and field service workflow. This role is highly visible and execution-focused, responsible for keeping work moving efficiently, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting the team in real time.
This position is ideal for a supervisor technician looking to level-up who enjoys being on the floor, working on equipment, mentoring others, and solving operational issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Floor Leadership
-Lead and oversee day-to-day shop operations
-Maintain a strong, visible presence on the shop floor by working on equipment alongside the team, when needed
-Support technicians with job prioritization, troubleshooting, and workflow coordination
-Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are consistently met
Team Support & Oversight
-Provide daily direction and support to shop technicians
-Support field dispatch coordination to ensure efficient scheduling and communication
-Serve as a point of contact between technicians and management
-Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of team members
Daily Operations & Execution
-Help plan and adjust daily workloads and job assignments
-Monitor job progress and flag issues that may impact timelines or service quality
-Assist with resolving customer issues in coordination with supervisors and management
-Identify workflow or safety issues and communicate improvement recommendations

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100K-$125K per year
Schedule: Full Time, 10 hour – 12 hour shifts
Work Location: In person; Sun Valley, CA
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
-At least 5+ years experience in a shop leadership role
-Proven ability to lead by example in a hands-on role
-Strong technical and mechanical background required
-Practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities
-Knowledge of safety practices and shop standards
-Comfortable using shop systems and basic computer tools (Point of Rental or similar a plus)
