Current employees interested in applying for this position should work with their supervisor to determine if they are eligible. The supervisory team will be a reviewing an internal applicant for the following:
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and develop expertise:
o This may be measured in multiple ways including but not limited to: Number of assemblies trained, complexity of operations, and depth of knowledge in trained assembly and test skills.
o Knowledge or participation in tool design, process improvement, cost reduction projects or similar manufacturing engineering processes.
• Experience of 10 years or more in Assembly Test Department or similar aerospace manufacturing
• Experience of 5 or more years supporting manufacturing engineering role (issued manufacturing engineering stamp with limited responsibilities)
• Meets company expectations for attendance
• Demonstrated positive attitude
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
OR
• Associates degree in an engineering field with 3+ years of on-the-job experience.
OR
• 8+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering in a similar and/or related industrial environment.
• 5+ years of hydraulic component assembly and testing experience including the ability to read and interpret hydraulic test schematics and related documentation.
Basic understanding of the following preferred:
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
• Precision measuring devices
• Part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Computer skills consisting of excel, CAD/CAM, Quality Management Software (), Enterprise Resource Planning and related business software
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications
• Hydraulic systems knowledge
• Understanding of Bill of Materials and parts lists

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

• High noise levels from operating machines
• Physical hazards from moving mechanical parts, static and dynamic hydraulic pressure exceeding 5000 PSI
• Hazards due to airborne particles
• Breathing fumes, dust, and mist
• Skin exposure to hazardous chemicals such as: Acetone, Alcohol, HFE-72DE, sealants, bonding solvents, paint stripper, paints, and solvents. May involve prolonged exposure to caustic oils such as Hyjet IV (Skydrol).
Salary: $88,500 - $130,000
