Description

The Director of Membership is responsible for developing and implementing formal marketing / recruiting & retention plan for all CAHSAH members focusing on initial contact, new member orientation and ongoing member engagement and retention.  The Director of Membership also develops member programs to generate non-dues revenue for the association. 

Essential Functions

Member Recruitment

• Develop and oversee formal marketing / recruitment & retention plan including goals and measurements of success
• Recruit new provider and affiliate members

• Identify methodologies for increasing prospect list

Member Retention

• Develop and oversee implementation of renewal strategies to achieve goals and measurements of success
• Develop and manage new member orientation process
• Develop and ensure implementation and promotion of value based programs for existing members
• Strategically Identify members needs

Other Development

• Develop non-dues revenue for the association
• Develop annual membership budget
• Prepare membership reports
• Work with other staff to further association mission and goals

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree.  Advanced degree in appropriate field such as Marketing, Health Administration, etc. preferred.  Three years progressively responsible experience in membership / marketing.  Superior organizational, problem-solving, strategic planning, and written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated success in membership sales.
