POSITION OVERVIEW
The Creative Intern supports the development and execution of visual and digital content for political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and internal firm projects. Working under the direction of the Creative Director, the intern contributes to graphic design, branding, social media content, video editing, and creative research while gaining hands-on experience in fast-paced political communications. This role is ideal for a college student or college graduate interested in political storytelling, campaign communication, or digital strategy.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create or update social graphics, ads, or templates in response to client requests.
Participate in daily or weekly team check-ins to review priorities and task assignments.
Draft design mockups for new branding, events, or client initiatives.
Edit or refine assets based on feedback from senior creative staff.
Monitor relevant political content for rapid-response opportunities.
Prioritized short-form video production by developing concept-to-post workflows, editing high-impact content, and optimizing reels/TikToks for audience engagement, growth, and platform-specific performance metrics.
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with the Creative Director to align on weekly priorities and deadlines.
Prepare 2-3 creative drafts for internal review across multiple clients or projects.
Update and maintain the firm’s branding folders & templates.
Support branding development for new clients or internal initiatives.
Participate in creative team meetings to brainstorm content ideas and design strategies.
METRICS
This is a part-time position, 5-15 hours per week, depending on need. $20/hour.
