Longview is seeking a highly motivated mid-career attorney to join a fast-growing, highly-skilled team developing important new energy infrastructure. As the Associate General Counsel – Contracts, you will act as the primary legal partner for Longview’s executive team throughout the development lifecycle of electric transmission and generation projects. You will:
- Shape Longview’s commercial strategy and risk allocation
- Lead contracting of revenue-side agreements including Transmission Service Agreements, Tolling Agreements, and Selected Developer Agreements
- Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction agreements, supply agreements with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Professional Services Agreements with engineers and specialty firms
- Support project financing efforts through contract diligence and lender-facing documentation
- Lead Longview’s relationships with external counsel
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and internal legal best practices
Requirements
- J.D. and active bar membership
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, energy, and construction law
- Demonstrated experience negotiating contract agreements
