Description

We are seeking a generalist Associate Research Analyst to join our Contrarian Value group focused on a value-oriented, contrarian, and long-term horizon investment strategy. The position will support fundamental investment strategy portfolio idea generation through short-term project work focused on fundamental bottom-up research analysis across capital structure, geographies, sectors and market caps. Candidates will be expected to learn the foundational skills required to become an equity analyst in the asset management industry. The successful research analyst will be highly motivated and numerate. The role requires strong critical reasoning, the ability to think like a businessperson and build financial models, and intellectual curiosity to support and validate investment theses by conducting due diligence and collecting distinctive information.    

Requirements

Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 0-4 years experience in any combination of investment banking, investment management, or consulting industries. Knowledge and experience in financial statement analysis, valuation and accounting, including a CFA® designation, are a plus.

This position will work on a hybrid model with an expectation of 4 days a week in office in our Santa Monica, CA offices.  

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 base salary + bonus including comprehensive benefits package. Base salary will be determined by applicant’s skills, experience, geographic location, and pay equity considerations.
